New Discoveries!

Get the feeling I’m going in circles?  Yeah, this is supposed to be Recipe Saturday and it will be just as soon as I get a few pics snapped.

In the meantime, I must share.  My mama is here and she always told me to share. So I’m sharing.  Because someone else shared with me.  This is a Christmas song and one that drives me nuts trying to sing and turn pages at the same time.  Those out there who sing/play an instrument will KNOW what I mean..Carol of the Bells is challenging!!!  But this guy can whip it out so fast and in such an unusual style that it just makes me smile.

The plus is that this piece features the cello, which has been a longtime family favorite instrument. Not that any of us play, but we ALL have a deep appreciation for this mellow big old violin!  Our oldest son used to listen to a cello album before big ballgames in high school.  There is just something so soothing about a cello.

Maybe I should take up cello lessons?  Probably not.  Not an over-abundance of cello teachers out here on the Plains.  Take a listen.  “The Piano Guys” have a YouTube channel and there is some really good music there.  They have an album that you can download which is what I plan to do next if I ever get away from the computer.  Potica, which will follow downloading on the To Do List, isn’t made and dear sons may abandon the ship if I don’t produce at least one pan for tomorrow.  Enjoy and may y’all have a Blessed Christmas!

And just for good measure, one of my personal all time favs!!!

Wow that cellist is very talented. Not only can he play like that but he sure gets around! That is no green screen. 🙂

His Xmas album is fantastic. He also has a wonderful take on “Nearer My G-d To Thee,” which was how I ran into him in the first place.
