Remember this?

I posted this last January as a result of just surfing on the web haphazardly.  And now this..

The One Ring released the above photo earlier today of the Thorin mini bust referred to last January and is made by Gentle Giant.  Fun to see the concept become reality!!!

Today was busy day in HobbitWorld!  Warner Bros. also released a “scroll” which, in my book, is spectacular in every sense.  The pure artistry of the collage moves you right through the classic story that J.R.R. Tolkien wrote  75 years ago.    Go here to check it out.  I can’t help but think of all of those “collages” that we made in Senior English class!  LOL!  This is tad better than those.  Believe me.

As if that wasn’t enough for all of us Hobbit geeks, the key that Thorin wore around his neck during the adventures of the dwarves and Bilbo, has now been offered up, continuing the design theme found in All Things Thorin…the shape of a diamond…not the stone, the geometric shape. You see it in the costuming, his sword and scabbard, his ring, his axe and even the key, it seems.  I like the continuity. And also, the shape might have something to do with Thorin’s search for the fabled “Arkenstone”???

AND…Lego has  just released the first group of Hobbit figures, according to TORn…

Yes, I’ve gone over the edge.  Blame it on 5 little girls under the age of 7, late bedtimes last night and answering at least 4,671 questions in  a 25 hour period.  But, man…did we have fun!!!

My inner Hobbit geekdom has taken over!

Ooooo, this could cost you. Big. Like a signed copy of the next Giz saga. Delivered to my door. Hot off the press. But for you dearest, Prue, I’ll see what I can do. So many ideas in my head tonight!!!
