A while back, I did a post about the first three gentlemen mentioned in the above blog title. The Mr. Adams part of today’s title has a wonderful blog site about his association with the music of Howard Shore and The Lords of the Ring. In fact, he’s written a book about the making of the music of The Lords of the Ring.
According to Mr. Adams, the recording of the soundtrack for The Hobbit is now underway in London and I am personally on pins and needles wondering how it’s all going? What wonderful pieces has Howard Shore composed for this soundtrack? What is the dominant instrument going to be? Will the Misty Mountain theme we heard in the trailer be an ongoing piece throughout the movie/movies? So many questions and what…another how many days to go?! 😀
And…in the meantime…the above art is one of the most outstanding portraits to come out Hobbit fandom. Words fail me on this one. It has the feel of a Rembrandt and I just love it. The portrait was done by Amanda Tolleson. Click on her name for more of her art at DeviantArt.
