A blogging buddy blogged today about The Hobbit hitting the Billion Dollar mark worldwide. It’s the 15th movie to do that. That’s a lot of cash. Makes me wonder what all that money “could” be used for. Besides more Peter Jackson movies.
Of course, that would be better than making…say, more Twilight movies? Jackson’s Tolkien based stories have a tad bit more “meat” to them. Just my opinion of course. And Mr. Jackson does have bills to pay
Anyway, in celebration of the milestone, Frenz posted a cake for the occasion that looks a bit familiar. 🙂
Entering the Billion Dollar Club
So what happens now that The Hobbit has entered the Billion Dollar Club? I guess we’re going to find out over the next little while what that experience entails. But until we know the full effect of its membership on some of the parties involved — namely Richard Armitage — I think a little celebration is still in order. So a little cake for the occasion:
Go here for the rest of Frenz’s post.
Presently, I am frantically searching for my cake notebook that has all of the patterns for the door and windows that I drew up in December! It seems Granddaughter #1 wants the same cake for her March birthday. Except no snow. That ups the game considerably as all of that snow covers a lot of boo-boos!! 🙂
So, the order of the day is starting a sketch of another Hobbit cake, ordering my copy of The Hobbit DVD and waiting for the next movie. While I’m experimenting on a bread recipe, preparing for ChristyFest 2013 and working on the completely new and shiny ChristyFest blog site and keeping up with Big Boss who is due in any minute for breakfast and I haven’t even started it yet YIKES!! Oh, and COFFEE!!!
PS In case you’ve been dying to know, Taartjes’s pig cake has to date, 60,637 views. One. Little. Pig. Cake. Not mine. 🙂 Hysterical!
