Yes, it’s raining. Softly. Quietly.
I took my coffee out to the back porch, thinking that the mower would have to be warmed up again. And, MERCY, the weeds are growing. I also wondered what to do to give my peonies a boost. All of this cold and wind has made them look slightly bad/evolved/sad/funky.
And then I quit looking and started listening….
A rainy day in Texas back some 50 years…ok, 60…meant I could curl up with a book and read to my heart’s content, guilt-free and worry-free. The weeds were being watered and that meant I wasn’t out pulling them up. Yet.
I still love rainy days, not just because we’re finally getting some moisture in this drought-ridden place, but because I can type in my jammies at 10:47 and not care.
No book today tho…genealogy bug bit me again and ancestry.com owns me body and soul.
Have we talked about genealogy? Didn’t think so. WHAT was I thinking?!!! “To know where you are going, you must know where you have been.” Think about it.
And the beauty is…I can do family research on the back porch, in my jammies and listen to Spring. Life is good! God is good!!!!!
Note: this is a test…how many sounds do you hear in this clip?!!
